Twelve Lab

In Twelve Lab, we all share a passion for technology, creativity, and new ideas. We have been working together for years and have contributed to various projects, from audio-visual productions to multimedia and interactive installations. We joined our forces under Twelve Lab: a multimedia production team placing emphasis into collaboration for producing original results.

We are always eager to engage in challenging projects, experimen­tation with new technologies and creative ideas. Feel free to share your ambitions with us.

Giuliano

Giuliano is a sound designer and composer from Italy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Music and New Technology at the “G. Verdi” Conservatoire in Como and a master’s degree in Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He has been involved in different projects as a sound designer, sound technician, audio programmer and performer. Currently he is a research associate at the Institute of Sonology

  • Kyriakos

    Kyriakos is a sound engineer and composer based in the Hague. His interest moves around environmentally emerged aesthetics and technology. He has been involved as a post-production engineer in several music and film productions. During the last years, he is occupied with applications of Rhythmanalysis in sonification. He holds a BSc in sound engineering and music technology and a MMus from the Institute of Sonology in which he is currently a research associate.

  • Michele

    Michele is a live electronics performer, sound engineer and electronics designer. He holds a BA degree in Music and New Technologies from the Conservatory of Florence “L. Cherubini” and a Master of Music degree in “Instruments & Interfaces” at the Institute of Sonology in The Hague and STEIM Institute in Amsterdam. He is currently a research associate in the STEIM Institute, handling hardware and software development. His artistic and technological research focuses on the development of biophysical musical instruments for live performance. He develops interactive sound installations integrated into sculptures together with the OHM artists collective. He is a freelance live sound engineer. In 2016 he wins the ADE SoundLab grant for the live performance Synaesthesia. From 2017 he is active in Studio LOOS in Den Haag as sound engineer, production assistant and studio manager.

  • Anna

    Anna is a video producer and media artist from Greece. Her interests are focused on emerging spaces, virtual and augmented media, contemporary video and emotion science. She has been involved in a variety of multimedia productions as video editor and multimedia engineer. She holds a BFA in fine arts from Aristotle University and currently she is a MSc student in media technology, Leiden University.

  • Afroditi

    Afroditi (born in 1986 in Athens, Greece) studied Product and System Engineering at the University of Aegean. She, also, pursued postgraduate studies in Animation at the Glasgow School of Art. She has participated at the Tehran International Animation Festival, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, LPM (Live Performers Meeting), Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, Athens Video Art Festival, Platforma Video International Film Festival, Animasyros International Animation Festival, and some of her animated films were presented in British Council’s “Living Together Congress”. Afroditi worked at advertising companies and she currently works as a freelancer. She is interested in exploring animation and film as a fine art and pushing the boundaries of what is the norm in visual art. She is focusing on the combination of different senses and art mediums. She is very interested in exploring how to involve more of the senses in the experience, bringing in touch, smell, and even taste by crafting the environment in which the art is viewed. By using different methods for creating motion pictures, the final outcomes are a combination of various techniques and forms of art. Her intension is to create collages of feelings and ideas, find out the connection between sound and frames, interpretate poetry and fairytales, find out patterns and characters in everyday life.

  • Chris

    Chris is a sound artist, improviser and synthesist, based in The Hague. He currently is a research associate at the Institute of Sonology, focusing on the non-linear dynamics of analogue feedback systems.

  • Markos

    Markos's education as a Graphic Designer was only the starting point of a long path. Fast developed from print to digital design. He has been dedicated for several years to the digital world, combining art concepts to applied imaging in the online medium. His creative idea and artistic approach have been offered to hundreds of projects. Moreover, he takes an important role in the field of web design and he is specialized in user-interface (UI). He is a devotee of minimal design with intensity for typography. He follows closely the improvements and trends of the sector and he is not afraid to go astray from the beaten track to achieve innovative strategies.
